How Much Does Concrete Leveling Cost in the DFW Area?
Most Plano-area homeowners pay somewhere between a few hundred and a few thousand dollars to level settled concrete — far less than tearing out and replacing it. Below are honest 2026 ranges so you can budget before you call.
2026 Cost Ranges
$3–$8 per square foot
National 2026 data puts the average mudjacking job around $1,230, with most residential projects falling between $660 and $1,870. A typical driveway lift often lands in the low thousands.
$6–$15 per square foot
Foam jobs typically run $2,000–$5,500 for a standard residential driveway. Larger or complex work — big pool decks, for example — can reach $8,000.
These are national ranges for 2026. DFW labor rates, slab size, and soil conditions move individual quotes up or down. The only way to know your number is an on-site assessment — which is why ours is free.
What Drives Your Quote
- Slab size and number of sections. More square footage means more material and more injection points.
- How far it has settled. A slab that's dropped half an inch needs far less lift — and less material — than one that's dropped three inches.
- The method. Foam costs more per square foot than mudjacking, but cures faster, lasts longer, and needs smaller holes.
- Access. Tight side yards, steep grades, or slabs hemmed in by landscaping take more setup time.
- Soil and drainage issues. If poor drainage caused the settlement, fixing the water problem alongside the lift protects your investment.
Leveling vs. Replacement: The Math
Full concrete replacement in DFW commonly runs $8–$20+ per square foot once demolition, haul-off, forming, and pouring are counted — a 500 sq ft driveway replacement can easily reach $4,000–$10,000+. Leveling the same slab typically costs a fraction of that, with far less disruption.
There's another Texas-specific reason to level first: our expansive clay soil doesn't go away when you pour new concrete. Replacement over the same soil can settle again; leveling addresses the voids underneath the slab you already have.
When Replacement Is the Honest Answer
Leveling isn't right for every slab. If your concrete is severely cracked through, crumbling, or spalling across its surface, lifting it won't restore it — replacement is the better investment.
